Stuck On You Eyeshadow Primer Review

Stuck On You Eyeshadow Primer is a standard eye primer that is designed to nourish your eyelids while it helps make your eyeshadow stay put. As an eye primer, it’s supposed to help with creasing and really make your pigments pop. It’s from the brand The Beauty Crop, so it isn’t one of the most luxurious brands out there, but it’s not necessarily a bad brand either. Find out everything you need to know about it in this Stuck On You Eyeshadow Primer review!

How To Apply Stuck On You Eyeshadow Primer

You can use a brush or your finger to apply this eyelid primer. Dip your finger into the pot, and then gently smear it across your eyelid. To use a brush, gently slide it across the top of the eye primer pot, and then apply it to your eyelids.

Does Eye Primer Make Eyeshadow Last All Day?

makeup application

This eye primer advertises that it will help your eyeshadow stay put all day long with no creasing or fading.

This is the one thing I don’t like about this eye primer. It does help prevent creasing, provided you use a light application, but it doesn’t help with fading all day. I noticed slight fading at the seven-hour mark. It helps prevent fading for a workday, though.

Stuck On Your Eyeshadow Primer Pros And Cons

There are a few good things about this eyeshadow but also a couple of bad things. You want to take a minute to think about both of them before heading to The Beauty Crop website and ordering yours.

Pros

Creamy Texture

I love the creamy texture of this eyelid primer. It glides on smooth. It’s creamy enough to balance out wrinkles in eyelids without smearing all over your face. This primer is the perfect formula for setting your eyeshadow.

Price

One eye primer pot is about $16, which isn’t bad. However, it’s more expensive than other brands. For example, you can pick up Morphe, Millani, Elf, or Urban Decay primers cheaper. At the same time, those also come in a squeeze tube or with an applicator. If you love pot-styled eyeshadow primers, this is one of the best eyeshadow primer options for the price.

Has A Brightening Effect

This eyeshadow primer is one of the best if you want a brightening effect. It works almost like a highlighter for your eyelids. This is how it makes colors perfectly pigmented and helps make your eyes look more open.

Vegan And Cruelty-Free Eye Primer

This is not only one of the best eye primers, it’s also vegan. The company advertises that no animal by-products are used at all in this. They also don’t test on animals.

Doesn’t Clump Or Get Cakey

This is one of the biggest complaints regarding cream eyeshadow primers, especially those in a pot. Sometimes, the formula is so thick that your eyeshadow clumps throughout the day. That isn’t a problem with Stuck On You Eyeshadow Primer.

Great For Hot Weather

If you’re searching for an eye primer for hot weather, you just found it. I used this eyeshadow primer in the middle of a heat wave with no air conditioning. My eyeshadow still lasted all day, and that was with just the primer and eyeshadow. I did not use a setting spray that day.

Cons

Not Ideal For Oily Eyelids

My eyelids are a tiny bit oily. Just a pinch of oil. This is one of the best eyeshadow primers I’ve ever used. However, there are quite a few complaints regarding creasing from users with more oily eyelids. If you have oily eyelids and are prone to creasing, consider Urban Decay Original Eye Primer Potion. This is known as one of the best eyeshadow primers for oily lids.

It does Not Easily Spread

This is great because you don’t want a primer that is too easy to spread. Those are more likely to clump by the end of the day. They are also horrible for even mildly greasy eyelids. However, there is a bit of a learning curve when applying. You’ll also find that you go through the product faster because it’s more difficult to spread, which leads to you having to use more to cover the eyelids.

Doesn’t Prevent Transfer

If you have hooded eyelids, you know you need to prevent the eyeshadow from transferring onto the hood for a look that will last all day. This eye primer is not going to do that. It is not transfer-free

Drying Time Isn’t Ideal If You’re In A Hurry

I’m a single mom, so I have to try out makeup products and test them to see when I can and can’t use them. I use certain basics on really busy mornings because they’re quick and efficient. This eyeshadow primer is not going to make it to that list.

After application, the creamy eyeshadow primer took several minutes to dry before I could apply the eyeshadow. While this might not be a big deal to some, it’s not ideal for busy moms’ makeup routines. However, I will still use it when I have spare time or am playing with my makeup.

I wiped it off once and re-applied it to ensure it wasn’t applied too thick, and I had the same results. I couldn’t go straight from primer to eyeshadow in under a minute like I can with my Urban Decay primer.

Should You Buy It?

primer

If you don’t have hooded eyes, are okay with your makeup lasting 6-8 hours before fading, and have an extra minute in the morning, this is a great eyeshadow primer. The color is excellent, the application is easy, and you can use a brush to apply it accurately to your eyelids. If you don’t care for a squeeze tube, you’ll love that this comes in a pot.

You can find it over here for around $16.
