The Perfect Pair Duo Eyeliner gives you two gorgeous eyeliners in one. You get one long-lasting gel eyeliner and one precision marker eyeliner in an adorable package. However, there are quite a few differences between both eyeliners (one is cruelty-free, but one might not be) that will make you want to double-check to guarantee that you want both eyeliners in the package. It’s currently available in both brown and black, but I have the brown one, so that’s what we will look at in this Girlactik Eyeliner review.

Girlactik Eyeliner Ingredients
There are quite a few ingredients. Thankfully, Girlactik is somewhat transparent about the status of its products. They clearly state whether a product is vegan, cruelty-free, paraben-free, etc., in the product description, along with a complete list of ingredients.
Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner In Pure Brown Ingredients
This eyeliner is both paraben and sulfate-free. However, it is made with carmine. It doesn’t state that the product is cruelty-free or vegan, so it’s a safe bet that it isn’t. The following ingredient list is from the Girlactik website:

Precise Eyeliner Marker In Brown Noir Ingredients
The marker-ingredient glides on like liquid eyeliner, making it perfect for those who love liquid liner. It’s advertised as being paraben-free, vegan, and cruelty-free. This marker liner contains the following ingredients:
Water, Styrene/Acrylates/Ammonium Methacrylate Copolymer, Methylpropanediol, Cellulose, Poloxamer 407, Coco-Glucoside, PEG-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Styrene/Acrylates Copolymer, Citric Acid, Caprylyl Glycol, Sodium Laureth-12 Sulfate, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, BHT, Phenoxyethanol, Potassium Sorbate, Sodium Benzoate, Sodium Dehydroacetate.

Girlactik Gel Eyeliner
The Girlactik Long Wear Gel Eye Liner is meant to last as long as your liquid eyeliner, and it delivers staying power. The team behind this stick liner pulled off a close-to-perfection eyeliner.
Pros
There are several pros to this eyeliner, so it was hard to pick just a few to highlight in this article. However, these are some of the qualities you’re going to appreciate about this gel liner.
Mechanical
Easily twist your liner up or down by twisting the top. Small things like that make a liner so much more convenient.
Sharpener Included
A sharpener is included at the bottom. However, you have to pry it out because the same pencil part is used for the mechanical part. I had to dig my nail into the tiny crack to open the sharpener. It’s convenient, but it was a bit of a hassle for me. I’ll use my other one if I need to sharpen this liner.
Waterproof
This gel liner is an all-day waterproof eyeliner. Once you apply it, it has serious staying power. However, it will smudge for the first few seconds after application. If you have hooded eyes, it’s important to remember that part.
Pigmented
This all-day waterproof eyeliner is so pigmented it’s hard to believe. The dark brown color is rich and beautiful. It won’t fade away or take several applications to get the color payoff you want with this gel liner.
Cons
As with everything, there are a few downsides. Make sure that you keep this in mind when deciding if the Girlactik Perfect Pair Duo is right for you.
Limited Color Choices Available
The limited color choices are a bit disappointing. The brand Girlactik says it aims to make quality glitter products, but this long-wear liner is only available in brown and black. The black is also matte black, so you’re out of luck if you’re not okay with that.
Does Not Offer Precise Application
As with all gel pencils, it does not offer precise application. Although a sharpener is included, you cannot achieve the same precise application as with waterproof liquid eyeliner. This is important to remember if you never leave the house without a winged liner.
Girlactik Precise Liner Marker
The Girlactik Precise Liner Marker has the color payoff and staying power of a waterproof liquid eyeliner, but the ease of application of an eyeliner pen. If you love waterproof liquid eyeliner, this one is worth considering.
Pros
The Girlactik brand blew me out of the water with this waterproof liquid eyeliner. For a brand that isn’t available at Sephora or Ulta and one that I had never heard of, I was blown away by the quality of these products, including the precise liner marker.
Smudgeproof Formula
This long-lasting eyeliner was designed to stay in place. Once you finish the eyeliner pen, it will dry and remain smudge-proof all day. You will not have to worry about raccoon eyes with this transfer-proof Girlactik Precise Marker Liner!
Waterproof
Not only will it not smudge, but it won’t wash away easily either. I applied some to my arm and then ran my arm underwater. It did not budge. Then I used a damp towel to remove the long-lasting eyeliner. It took several minutes, and myself developing a red mark on my arm to get the liner off. You’re going to need makeup remover for this one.
Precise Application
The felt tip on the Girlactik Precise Marker Liner is neither too firm nor too flexible. It gives you the perfect combination for precise application, making your wings flawless or nailing that graphic liner look.
Cons
There are a few things to remember about this eyeliner before buying one.
Not A Firm Felt Tip
If you’re a fan of an eyeliner marker with a firmer tip, this product will take some practice before you can draw the perfect wing with a simple flick. People who prefer a firmer tip might not appreciate the flexibility this one offers.
So Dark It Appears Black
The brown is so dark that it appears black or almost black. A black eyeliner gal who loves black liner will love it, but you’re bound to be disappointed if you thought you would get a medium shade like the product’s color.
Limited Colors Available
As with the gel liner, only two colors are available for the precise marker liner. You can get Brown, which appears black, and Black Noir, a dark matte black. Although it is a beautiful, non-drying matte color, it would be great to have a wider selection of Girlactik Precise Marker Liner colors. I’d love to have long-lasting color in more than just black!

Is Girlactik makeup vegan?
Some of it is, but some of it is not. The brand itself is not vegan. However, they are transparent about all of their products on their website. If a product is vegan, they make sure that you know. If it’s not, it’s casually just left out of the product description.
Is Girlactik Cosmetics cruelty-free?
Girlactik Cosmetics cannot claim cruelty-free status. Some of their products do not state that they are cruelty-free, so you can’t be too sure whether they are or not. They applied for certification and are now reapplying.
Should You Buy It?
I love the Perfect Pair Duo. The gel liner stays wonderfully and works out perfectly for your bottom lid. The precision liner is a beautiful color and easy to apply.
However, you need to consider the individual products when purchasing the duo. You will only save $1 by purchasing them together instead of separately. One product may be vegan, while the other might not. Make sure you use both before purchasing the duo.
