As you start to sweat, you can help but catch a whiff of yourself and wrinkle your nose. It’s common to sweat a lot more during the summer months, and that is when BO can catch up with you. Thankfully, there are plenty of natural remedies that can help you prevent this problem. Use these tips to smell fresh every day!
Shower More Frequently
Some people have to up their shower game when the warmer months hit, especially those that work outdoors. Take a shower when you get home from work, or double up and take one shower at night and another in the morning.
Water, Water, Water
Body odor often comes from our body getting rid of toxins via our sweat glands. When you drink water, it helps shove them out of your body. Then, you will be drinking mainly water so you’ll notice that you have less body odor. That’s because most of the processed foods and drinks we consume are packed with toxins that can cause odor.
To help combat body odor naturally, wipe your armpits down with vinegar throughout the day. Vinegar helps kill odor causing bacteria that can give you body odor. Make sure that you only use a small amount so that you don’t smell like vinegar.
Baking soda does not help kill bacteria, but it is super absorbent! Put a fine dusting on your armpits to absorb sweat as the day goes on. It will prevent sweat from getting to your clothes and make your clothes stink.
Watch What You Eat
If you’re one to eat more processed food instead of a diet rich in fruits and vegetables, that could be the source behind your body odor. You can naturally eliminate your bo problem by switching to a healthier diet.
