First Aid Beauty Primer Pros Vs. Cons

Hello FAB pores be gone matte primer review

As with every product, there are good and bad things to consider. Make sure that you keep both the pros and cons in mind when deciding if this primer from First Aid Beauty is right for you!

Pros

Minimizes The Appearance Of Pores

The salicylic acid in this product helps to instantly blur pores, making your face appear nice and smooth. It looks so good that you can wear this primer by itself to enjoy nice, smooth skin.

Fig Extract

Fig extract is said to have fantastic antibacterial properties. Including this superfood is just one way this primer helps combat acne before it starts.

Suitable For All Skin Types

This oil-free, matte-finish primer is great for any skin type. It’s safe for sensitive skin. Those with oily skin will appreciate how two acids work together to help control sebum production. I occasionally have dry, rough skin with an uneven texture. It didn’t dry out my skin and gave it a touchably smooth texture. It’s even great for combination skin!

Grips Makeup

This primer grips makeup in a similar manner to a gripping primer for long-lasting wear that you’re going to love. It can help your makeup last hours longer. Pair it with a setting spray for the best results.

Protects The Skin

This silicone-based primer clings to your skin like a second skin. Then, it dries to a soft-focus, matte finish that helps protect your skin from harmful things like free radicals, thanks to the protective layer it creates.

Formulated Without Gluten

This product is formulated without gluten. It also doesn’t have oil, alcohol, artificial fragrances, parabens, petroleum, talc, or formaldehyde.

Doesn’t Clog Pores

This mattifying primer did not clog my pores or cause breakouts! It was an excellent relief compared to primers that instantly give you a pimple or five the day after using them.

A Little Goes A Long Way

I was a bit disappointed that I got a trial-size version of this when I realized how much I loved it. However, that trial size lasted a lot longer than I expected! You only need a tiny bit for your face.

It’s A Good Brand

First Aid Beauty is a great brand. I’ve tried several of their products and have yet to find one that I don’t care for.

Cons

It’s $30

If you’re used to paying drugstore prices for drugstore brands, the $30 price tag will raise your eyebrows a bit. However, I can assure you that this one is worth it.

Not As Widely Available

Some stores have replaced this primer with the coconut skin smoothie priming formula. I have yet to try that one, but if it’s from First Aid Beauty, it’s worth it. You can still find this one at online retailers, Nordstrom, and Kohls.

In Conclusion

Hello FAB Pores Be Gone Matte Primer is one of the holy grails of primers. It helps to instantly blur the pores and grips makeup to ensure you get hours of wear out of your face makeup.
