Key Features
Milani made waves throughout the beauty industry when they came out with their Miliani Conceal + Perfect Liquid Foundation. Since then, they’ve developed an entire line of Conceal + Perfect products, complete with a shimmer highlighter. Some key features you’ll love include:
- Precision Applicator: The cushion applicator is comfortable on your skin and allows precise application. This makes it easy to put a dab or two of highlighter in key places for a flawless look.
- Flawless Glow: The pearlescent formula delivers a soft glow perfect for day and night looks. It’s not overwhelming and doesn’t have giant flecks of glitter, making it ideal for your look if you want the shimmer without the glitter.
- Dries Evenly: You don’t have to worry about a patchy look when this highlighter dries. The cushion applicator makes it easy to get a pretty even application and dries down to an even finish. It makes achieving a glamorous look effortless.

How To Use Milani Conceal + Perfect Liquid Highlighter
Gently squeeze the tube until a little bit appears on the cushion applicator. Then, dab the highlighter in spots you’d like to highlight, such as the cheeks, under your eyebrows, your cupid’s bow, or the tips of your nose. Then, use your fingers, a brush, or a beauty blender to blend it in.
Pros
Blends Easily
This liquid highlighter easily blends into your skin for a luminous glow that doesn’t have too much shimmer. You won’t find yourself blending for what seems like an eternity. Simultaneously, it also doesn’t blend down to nothing like some cream products do.
Easy Application
The built-in cushion applicator makes it easier than ever to apply Milani Conceal and Perfect Highlighter. It’s plush enough to be comfortable against your skin, but it’s small enough to allow for precise application. You can also use the applicator to blend it, or you can use your favorite makeup sponge. Blending is seamless, and the product doesn’t dry too fast.
Dries Evenly
Milani Conceal + Perfect Highlighter is supposed to dry down for an even finish, and it does. It doesn’t look patchy or uneven when it dries. Instead, you wind up with the same amount of shimmer everywhere. This instantly makes it easier to get the look you want.
Buildable
Want more shimmer than one layer? Wait on the first layer to dry and build up your highlighter for a more intense highlight. The lightweight formula is comfortable on your skin, even after you’ve added a few layers of highlighter. Additional layers blend well over top of each other.
Cruelty-Free
Milani prides itself on offering a full line of cruelty-free products. They don’t perform animal testing themselves. The website also states they don’t let others test on animals on their behalf, either.
Affordable
You can pick up Milani products for a fraction of the price of other brands. If you’re searching for a more budget-friendly brand, Milani is worth checking out. They’re more than a few dollars but won’t break the bank.
Conceals
This highlighter does help conceal a little bit of redness or other minor imperfections. This can be great if you have a few key spots to cover up. However, you’ll still need a concealer to cover up imperfections where you don’t apply highlighter if you have a red face, etc.
Cons
Small Package
I was really surprised with how small the bottle was. I understand it’s a cheaper price, but, at the same time, it seems like it balances out with more expensive brands because you tend to get a little more product. This is something to remember if you wear a highlighter every day.
Limited Shade Range
The shade range consists of four shades. There is one for deep skin tones. If you have a darker skin tone that doesn’t work with that one shade, you will have better luck finding a liquid highlighter elsewhere. Likewise, the lightest shade may be too dark if you have extremely pale skin because it has more of a bronze base.
The Applicator
The applicator is good and bad. On the one hand, it makes applying the ideal amount easy. You can also use it for blending. On the other hand, it’s not easily removable to wash it. I’m unsure whether this will get nasty with product build-up over time. Nice concept, though.
The Verdict
Provided they have a shade that works with your skin tone, this is a decent product to try, especially if you want one that isn’t packed with large flecks of glitter. The package is small, but it’s more affordable, so that balances out. It’s great for women of every age and can be subtle or intense depending on how many layers you apply. You can check it out here!
