Not Your Mother’s Dry Shampoo Pros Vs. Cons
When searching for the perfect dry shampoo to get you through the day and keep your hair gorgeous, it’s always important to ensure that the shampoo is right for you. These are all the pros and cons of Not Your Mother’s Dry Shampoo in Clean Freak.
Pros
No White Residue
Some dry shampoos are known for leaving an ugly white residue on your hair. Granted, you’ll have to deal with this anytime you use too much dry shampoo. However, it shouldn’t be a problem unless you spray too much on your hair. With Clean Freak, you don’t have to worry about that.
Safe For Color-Treated Hair
Only certain shampoos are safe for color-treated hair, and the same applies to dry shampoos. Not Your Mother’s Clean Freak dry shampoo is safe for colored hair.
Quickly Absorbs Oil
No one has time to worry about whether their dry shampoo is working, and you don’t have to with this one. Simply spray it on your hair, brush or comb it through, and enjoy day-one hair on day two or three. You’ll enjoy having your hair ready in a matter of minutes! Dry shampoo like this is a lifesaver. It takes only 30-60 seconds to achieve clean-smelling, beautiful hair.
Suitable For All Hair Types
No matter what type of hair you have, this product will help you enjoy fresher, cleaner-feeling hair.
Great For All Hair Colors
If you have darker hair, you’re bound to be worried about whether you can keep your hair fresh without looking like you used dry shampoo. I have medium-brown hair right now; my littlest has almost blonde hair; and my sister has darker brown hair. We’ve all used it with excellent results!
Not Your Mother’s Is Vegan Friendly
This product doesn’t contain any ingredients derived from animals or byproducts from animals. If you enjoy a vegan lifestyle, you’ll enjoy this shampoo.
Trial Size Available
It’s always nice to have a trial-sized bottle of dry shampoo in your purse or gym bag for days when your social life doesn’t allow time for washing, drying, and styling your hair. If you’ve got a busy social calendar, pick up a small bottle of this fast-drying formula for clean hair as you walk out the door.
A trial-size bottle is also a great idea if you’ve never used dry shampoo or are trying to find the right formula. The affordable price lets you try it before committing to a larger bottle. Use it to test different formulas, such as the Not Your Mother’s Dry Shampoo Beach Babe formula!
Clean Ingredients
This waterless shampoo is specially formulated to be free of harmful ingredients. You won’t find vegan ingredients, gluten, parabens, sulfates, silicone, or phthalates in this salon formula dry shampoo.
Easy To Use
If you want your hair to look clean until shampoo day, an easy-to-use dry shampoo is a must-have. To use this shampoo, spray it onto the hair roots. Then, comb or brush your hair. This will work the shampoo into the hair, giving it a clean look and feel. You won’t have to use extra powder after this dry shampoo.
Affordable
When it comes to products sold at Ulta, you’re usually going to pay a pretty penny, but that isn’t the case for Not Your Mother’s Dry Shampoo Clean Freak. You can pick up a bottle for under $10.
Cons
Fragrance
While some people love the smell of this dry shampoo, others don’t care for it. I prefer the scent of fresh linens in my house or with my laundry, not my hair. Thankfully, it’s not strong enough to be a deal-breaker for me. However, this may not be your best option if you don’t prefer scented shampoos. Instead, try Not Your Mother’s Unscented Dry Shampoo. (I use the Clean Freak version, which is unscented.)
Sometimes It’s Hard To Push The Nozzle Down
I have used dry shampoos before, and this bottle has to be designed differently. There are days when it takes me two hands to hold down the bottle’s nozzle, making it hard to aim. It might be this one bottle, but I’m not sure. I’ll update this once I buy another bottle so it doesn’t happen again.
Be Careful Not To Spray It On Your Scalp
If you do spray this product on your scalp, it can cause a small amount of white residue. On dark hair, it will appear as dandruff.
