Bone marrow from chickens is usually called Glucosamine on the ingredient list. It’s commonly found in skincare products specially formulated to reduce inflammation or redness.
Bee Venom
Bee venom is the little venom from a bee’s stinger when it stings you. However, this venom is also packed with peptides and other unique ingredients for your skin. The venom helps delay the aging process by fighting fine lines and wrinkles. It helps stimulate collagen production, has anti-inflammatory properties, and can improve circulation.
Bird Poop
No one lists bird poop on the ingredient list, but that doesn’t mean it’s not there. When it comes to crazy ingredients in makeup and beauty products, this one is one of the more gross ingredients. Bird poop is usually listed as guano. It’s packed with urea, which helps keep the skin plump and moisturized. Bird poop is usually sanitized with UV light or another method before it’s used in your favorite skin cream.
Snake Venom
Snake venom is surprisingly popular, especially in specially formulated products to help prevent fine lines and wrinkles. Small concentrations of snake venom help paralyze the nerves in the face. The paralyzation effect is similar to the one many people see from Botox injections. However, snake venom isn’t as potent as Botox. It does allow a similar impact without requiring injections, though.
