Milani is known for producing makeup at affordable prices, but their products seem to be hit and miss. While an eyeshadow palette might seem chalky, a lip oil will be a cult favorite. This makes it challenging to find the iconic products you’ll love. Find out whether you should buy Milani Eye Primer in this Milani Eyeshadow Primer review.

Key Features
Milani is a familiar brand you can find everywhere, from Walmart to Ulta. They’ve bridged the gap between luxury and affordable cosmetics. There are a few things you’ll love about the Milani Eye Primer.
- Affordable: Milani remains popular because they are affordable. You won’t find their products as cheap as E.L.F., but they’re a far cry from luxury makeup prices. The low prices make them ideal if you’re shopping on a budget.
- Ethical: Today, more than ever, people want brands that align with their ethics. The brand is certified cruelty-free, and its products are vegan. Milani is also made in the United States.
- Comprehensive Line: You can find anything you’re looking for if you’re a Milani fan, from the baked blush that doesn’t settle into fine lines to the iconic foundation and influencer-approved lip oils.

Pros
Creaseless
When Milani says this eye primer is creaseless, they mean it. I wore it all day, and it didn’t make my eyeshadow crease. Wearing the primer by itself had the same excellent results. If you’re tired of eyeshadow primers creasing, try this one.
Blends Smoothly
Milani eyeshadow primer blends smoothly onto your lids, helping smooth fine lines and creating the ideal base for eyeshadow. It doesn’t cake up as the day goes on or make your eyeshadow flake off like other eye primers.
Lightweight
The eye primer formula is more liquid than other eye primers, like Urban Decay’s Eye Primer. It’s not as thick, making it more lightweight. You can’t feel it on your lids once you apply it and blend it in.
Squeeze Tube
This is the most convenient packaging for eye primer. Doe foot applicators don’t let you control how much of the product you pull out, which can lead to you putting on too much or having to guess. Small circular compacts are a pain if you want to use your fingers and have long nails. This tiny squeeze tube is the perfect solution.
More Pigment
Eyeshadow primer is known for helping eyeshadow colors appear more pigmented. Milani eyeshadow primer doesn’t give a drastic boost in color, but it does make eyeshadow appear slightly more pigmented than it does on its own.
Works On Oily Eyelids
I have dry skin and eyelids right now, and was pleasantly surprised with how this primer didn’t dry out my eyelids. However, other reviewers with oily eyelids also say the primer worked exceptionally well. It’s versatile enough that anyone can use it.
Long-Lasting
The formula does exactly what it claims: help your eyeshadow stay in place for hours. I did a 12 hour wear test, and had terrific results. Even though it lasts all day, it comes off easily, so you don’t have to scrub your eyelids.
Cons
Smaller Package
I ordered my Milani Eyeshadow Primer from the Milani website, and the tiny tube is smaller than I expected. It looks bigger on the website. It’s almost the same size as trial products I’ve received. I’m pretty sure it would balance out if I spent more on a larger tube from a luxury brand.
On the other hand, this will still work if you want something affordable, and it’s comparable to a few other brands of eyeshadow primer, so it’s not as though they’re trying to scam you.
The Verdict
Milani Eyeshadow primer is a must-have. The eye primer is easy to apply, works well for everyone, and a little goes a long way, so the tiny squeeze tube might last longer than I think it will. It helps lock your look in place but comes off easily. Milani eye primer dries down to a nearly invisible finish and is surprisingly lightweight. You can pick it up here!
