What Does Vegan Mean?
Vegan means that a product does not contain any ingredients from animals. A lot of these ingredients are vegan. However, there are several ingredients could be vegan or come from animals.
Glycerin can be vegan, but it can also come from animal fat. Panthenol may be made from animals, too. Ceramide NP can be derived from plants, synthesized, or extracted from animals. Tocopherol is a form of Vitamin E. It can be derived from vegan sources, such as soy or sunflower oil, but it can also be derived from animal fat.
The company also listed fragrance in the ingredient list. Many companies don’t have to list what is included in their fragrance because it’s considered a trade secret. That means it could contain animal ingredients or byproducts.
Because ingredients in products may come from animal sources, and there’s no vegan label on the product page, it’s best to avoid products that aren’t clearly labeled as vegan if you choose to shop at Beauty Blender.
