nyx lip oil

I’ve never been a massive fan of lip oils. They felt too greasy years ago, and I’ve never been open to them. Then, I tried Dior Lip Addict Lip Oil. After that, I started thinking that maybe lip oils aren’t so bad. So, I tried NYX Lip Oil. It wasn’t precisely Dior, but it wasn’t bad either. NYX Lip Oil Pros Vs. Cons

Pros

Sheer Tint

NYX Professional Makeup lip oil is available in five different shades but has almost no color. That makes it great if you want a sheer lip tint or want to wear this lip oil over lipstick.

Nourishing

One of the first things I noticed about this lip oil is that it’s nourishing and hydrating. Ingredients like jojoba oil instantly soothed my lips. They went from chapped and irritated to moisturized in a matter of minutes. The unique blend of oils in this lip product left my lips soft with a glossy finish.

Perfect For Everyday Wear

NYX This Is Everything Lip Oil is perfect for everyday wear. You can wear it on no makeup makeup days, with fabulous, dramatic makeup, or with a toned down, natural makeup look. It’s so versatile that you can wear it with everything.

Pleasant Scent

As you lift the soft applicator to your lips, you can’t help but notice a lively vanilla-cherry blossom scent. It smells like paradise.

Nice Texture

This lip oil is applied like a lip gloss but doesn’t have a thick, sticky, goopy texture like some lip glosses. Instead, it felt smooth and silky. You can apply it in layers, too.

Affordable

At only $6, this is one of the most affordable lip oils. This drugstore brand is well-known for providing professional-grade makeup at luxury prices, and its lip oil doesn’t disappoint. The beautiful colors of sheer pink and deep berry are wonderful. The combination of oils, like sunflower seed oil, makes this lip oil as nourishing as a lip mask.

Cons

Doesn’t Have A Long Wear Time

The one downside to this lip oil is that it doesn’t seem to have a long wear time. I found that I was re-applying it every few hours.

The Verdict

There are not a lot of downsides to this lip oil. It works as well as most other lip treatments. It feels greasy but not as bad as some of the older lip oils.

It’s so versatile that you can wear it with anything. Wear it with a lip liner, or pair it with matte lipstick to prevent the matte formula from drying out your lips. It also pairs well with other glosses and lipstick, or you can wear it alone. You can wear it overnight like a lip mask to help hydrate and treat chapped lips too! You can buy it here!
