Callyssee Cosmetics is a brand that is slowly making its way down the road of becoming a more well-known brand. They sell everything from serums to cleansers to whipped lotion. You can also check out their makeup collection if you love the brand! Before diving into a brand, it’s important to decide whether it’s worth it. From my experience, there’s nothing wrong with the Callyssee cleanser, but it’s far from my favorite. Keep reading to decide if it’s right for you!

How To Use Callyssee Coffee Cleanser
Put a dime-sized amount of this cleanser from Callyssee Cosmetics onto your hands and gently work it into the skin using circular motions to form a nice lather. Massage the lather into your skin for 1-2 minutes, and then rinse with warm water. Although this is intended to be a facial cleanser, you can use it on your entire body.
Callyssee Coffee Cleanser Pros Vs. Cons
Great For Sensitive Skin
When I found out Callyssee Coffee Cleanser was a coffee scrub, I thought it would be too abrasive. However, it doesn’t scratch at the skin like other abrasive scrubs will, making it perfect for sensitive skin. It uses a unique blend of green coffee, apricot seed powder particles, and other ingredients. Even when my skin is at its most sensitive point, this cleanser doesn’t irritate it or cause redness.
A Little Goes A Long Way
Callyssee Coffee Cleanser is relatively thin, so you don’t have to use a large amount. A dime sized amount in your hand is enough to wash your entire face! Although it’s $20 per bottle, you can trust that it will last you a long time.
This coffee scrub has plenty of good-for-you ingredients, and none of them are derived from animals or the byproducts of animals. If you live a vegan lifestyle, this is a nice product to consider.
Callyssee Coffee Cleanser Is Cruelty Free
Not only is this product vegan, but it’s also cruelty free. This company doesn’t test any of its products or ingredients on animals.
I won’t say anything bad about a cleanser that smells a bit like medicine (I have some and love them), but there is something to be said about a cleanser that smells beautiful. Callyssee Coffee Cleanser is the perfect mixture of mint and other natural ingredients to make you smile as soon as you open the bottle.
Callyssee Coffee Cleanser Can Be Used As A Body Wash
You’re going to go through bottles rather quickly if you use this as a body wash, but that doesn’t mean that you can’t do it! It isn’t packed with chemicals that are going to hurt you, guaranteeing that it’s safe for you to pamper your entire body with this gentle cleanser.
Brightens The Skin
Ingredients like citric acid are included to help you have brighter, refreshed-looking skin. While this didn’t leave my skin feeling completely rejuvenated, I do have to admit that it looked a little brighter.
Doesn’t Dry Your Skin Out
While it didn’t exactly help my dry skin, it definitely did not hurt it, either. This coffee scrub is so gentle that it won’t dry out your skin as it washes away dead skin cells, making it a great idea if you are searching for a cleanser for dry skin. Just make sure that you use a moisturizer afterward, as this product is not very moisturizing on its own.
Suitable For All Skin Types
If you have oily skin, it can be hard to find a cleanser that works for oily skin without drying it out. It can help cleanse problematic acne-prone skin to reduce the number of breakouts. This coffee-infused gel cleanser doesn’t just work for problematic acne-prone skin can combination skin. It also works well with sensitive skin and dry skin.
Not As Cleansing As I Would Like
While this cleanser might cleanse your face, it doesn’t make your face feel as clean as other cleansers do. It’s a tad too gentle. While it is a decent product, it’s not one of my must haves when it comes to facial care products.
However, I did notice that it seemed to work better when I used it with a cleansing brush. If you happen to have a cleansing brush or a vibrating facial massager, consider using them together for a gentle cleanse that will make your face feel unbelievably soft.
Callyssee Coffee Cleanser Doesn’t Lather Well
It took a considerable amount of effort for me to get this product to lather up nicely. I had to use more of the product than I should have. Even when I used it longer than recommended to ensure that I was massaging the lathered product over my skin, it still didn’t make my skin feel clean and refreshed.
Not For Removing Makeup
If you tend to wear a full face of makeup daily, it’s important to remove your makeup before using this cleanser. It is not intended to remove makeup and doesn’t do an exceptionally well job if you try to use it to wash away makeup anyway. Try using these makeup remover wipes before your cleanser for wonderful results!
Did Not Help My Dry Skin
This product includes apricot seed that is supposed to help “buff away dry skin…”. It did not help the dry patches on my face at all. I would use this as a summer face cleanser when my skin isn’t dry instead of during the winter. Instead, I would recommend a hydrating mask that is designed specifically for dry skin.
Is Callyssee Coffe Cleanser gluten free?
The coffee cleanser is not gluten free. However, Callyssee does have gluten free options. They specifically list whether or not a product is gluten free in the product description. Unfortunately, the only product currently classified as gluten free is their pimple patches.
Is Callyssee vegan?
Yes, Callyssee does claim to be vegan. That means that none of their products contain ingredients or by-products that are derived from animals! If you live a vegan lifestyle, this is a great option for you.
Is Callyssee cruelty free?
Yes, Callyssee is cruelty free. They do not test any of their ingredients or products on animals and do not sell their products where animal testing is required by law.
Should You Buy Callyssee Coffee Cleanser?
If you’re looking for a gentle cleanser with an emphasis on providing a gentle cleanse, this could work out well for you. It deep cleans pores so that it may work well for people with acne-prone skin. It was a bit too gentle for my skin and not as moisturizing as I would have liked, but I did finish the bottle and simply used other products with this cleanser to keep my skin in good condition. If you want to check it out, you can purchase it on the Callyssee website or on Amazon.
