ELF Pure Skin Cleanser Pros Vs. Cons

Pros

It Feels Like Lotion

This cleanser feels like giving your face a thick milk bath. The texture is the perfect combination of creamy and thick to soothe your skin. the combination of the formula and ingredients makes this one of the most gentle cleansers.

Recommended For All Skin Types

This product is recommended for every skin type, including dry skin! It doesn’t leave your skin feeling greasy after using it, making it an excellent cleanser for those with oily skin. It’s also recommended for those with sensitive skin types.

If you have super sensitive skin, make sure you’re not going to have a reaction to any of the ingredients in the cleanser.

Vegan And Cruelty-Free

All E.L.F. products are cruelty-free and vegan. If you live a vegan lifestyle, this product is a nice way to complement your lifestyle.

Affordable

A full size version of this product won’t even cost you $10.

Mini-Size Available

If you check out the ELF website, you can score a trial-size version of this product for a few dollars. It’s a great way to see if it’s the right product for you without having to commit to a full-size bottle.

Hydrating

You can expect to notice a difference within a week if you have moderately dry skin. This cleanser helps soothe dry skin and provides a nice dose of hydration.

Leaves Skin Feeling Smooth

This cleanser leaves your skin with a smooth, touchably soft texture. It doesn’t strip away natural oils in your skin that will leave your face feeling dry or irritated.

Cons

It Doesn’t Get Sudsy

If you want a cleanser that soaps up well, this one will be a huge disappointment to you. It doesn’t lather well to turn into suds on your face.

A Little Does Not Go A Long Way

It took a lot to get enough of this to wash my entire face. With how much I had to use, I might as well spend more money on a different cleanser.

Doesn’t Remove Makeup Well

If you’re wearing a dab of highlighter, this might work out for you. However, if you wear a full face of makeup, even a double cleanse isn’t going to do the trick. Instead, you’ll need to use a makeup remover. Then, you need to do at least a double cleanse to get rid of the rest of the dirt on your face.

Doesn’t Deep Clean

Some cleansers clean the gunk out of your pores wonderfully. Others do not. This one does not. After wearing a full face of makeup, I washed my face repeatedly with this and then sat in front of a magnifying makeup mirror. My pores were still full of gunk.

This won’t be an issue if you don’t wear much makeup. It can also be great for days when you don’t wear makeup. However, you’ll need something with a bit more oomph behind it for those glam days.

The Verdict

I think it’s nice to use, especially if you want a minimalist skincare routine. This is an excellent product for anyone who is just getting started with skincare or doesn’t have many skincare concerns. You can pick it up at the ELF website!

If you have specific skincare concerns, you can use this as a cleanser and address skincare needs through other products. You can also check the other reviews to discover other cleansers and products!
