Pur 4 in 1 Powder Foundation Pros Vs. Cons

Pur 4 in 1 Powder Foundation Review

Pros

Pur 4 In 1 Powder Foundation Is Affordable

It’s about $30 per compact, but it’s well worth considering that this product can replace your concealer and foundation and provide an SPF.

Didn’t Settle Into My Fine Lines

I’m getting a few fine lines on my forehead. You can’t see them unless you look or my makeup settles into them. I didn’t wear a filling primer underneath this foundation, and it still hadn’t settled int my fine lines by the end of the day. It provides smoother-looking skin without showing off imperfections.

Lightweight

This powder doesn’t feel heavy on your skin. It’s so lightweight that you can barely tell you’re wearing it!

Good For Your Skin Skincare Ingredients

Shea butter and Vitamin E help nourish skin, making them critical ingredients for anyone with dry skin. Waltheria Extract helps correct an uneven skin tone. Combining ingredients like Retinol helps reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Ingredients also work to reduce the appearance of dark spots or dark circles! Use it during the day for a smoother look or to combat dry skin, and at night time, enjoy the skincare benefits!

Pur 4 In 1 Foundation Is Buildable

The buildable coverage means that you can apply more than one layer. If you prefer to use another concealer or wear a full face of makeup, you can do that too. It’s so buildable that you can use plenty of other products without it caking up.

Easy Application

Pur 4-in-1 pressed mineral makeup is easy to apply. Use a chisel brush or any brush with a flat head (sometimes, I call it a stippling brush). However, apply this mineral foundation using circular motions instead of a stippling motion for a fantastic finish.

Blends Well

Not only is this 4-in1 pressed mineral makeup buildable, but it’s also amazingly blendable. Use it with blush, bronzer, etc.

Natural Finish

Pur’s 4-in-1 pressed mineral makeup foundation has a natural appearance. You can wear the mineral makeup foundation on your entire face. It will address your biggest skin concerns, improve the appearance of skin imperfections, and look like you’re not wearing any makeup.

Cons

Sells Out At Makeup Stores Fast

Finding your perfect shade at Ulta Beauty can be a challenge. Ulta Beauty tends to sell out of this medium coverage foundation rather quickly. However, you can find most shades available on their website or on Amazon.

Tends To Show Pores More

If you have pores on the bigger side, remember that this product tends to accentuate them. Use a pore-filling primer underneath this foundation for an airbrushed look.

If You Have Oily Skin, Setting Spray Is A Must

Pur 4-in-1 pressed mineral makeup foundation seems to control oil at the beginning of the day. However, you’ll notice a bit of shine coming through by the middle or end of the day. Make sure you use a mattifying setting spray to control shine when using Pur’s 4-in-1 pressed mineral makeup foundation.

Not The Best For Dry Skin

Consider trying out a liquid foundation if you have extremely dry skin. This product provides decent coverage, but the natural ingredients aren’t hydrating enough to combat dry, flaky skin. It accentuates the dry, flaky patches I occasionally get throughout the winter.

Not A Full Coverage Concealer

This product is supposed to be a concealer and foundation, but it doesn’t work nearly as well as some other powder concealers on the market. I’d use this one as a multi-tasking foundation.

The Verdict

Pur 4 in 1 Powder Foundation Review

Pur mineral foundation does provide flawless mineral coverage most of the time. Applying it with a chisel brush is easy, and I love the skincare ingredients included. I like it during the summer and something else during the winter months. However, if you don’t have extremely dry skin or dry patches, you could use this mineral foundation every month of the year.
