Beauty Blender Scandal
The Beauty Blender Scandal made more headlines than the foundation upon its initial release. It led to thousands of people boycotting the brand. When the foundation was first released, it was available in shades of beige. The shades that were for people of color were horrible and not well-thought-out. To see this coming from a well-known brand that should have known better came as a shock to the beauty industry.
While this scandal rocked the beauty world, Beauty Blender quickly became aware of its mistake. Now, there are tons of shades available for every skin tone.
Overview
This beautiful foundation is supposed to have a velvet finish that never cakes and offers hours of flawless wear. It’s available in 32 shades and claims to help transform lifeless skin into beautiful skin that you will love!

Beauty Blender Bounce Foundation Pros Vs. Cons

Pros
New Packaging Available
I still have some in the old packaging, but it was a huge packaging fail. The concept was cool, I’ll give them that. It was designed so the front of the bottle could easily be used as a DIY mixing makeup palette, or you could pump your foundation onto the little indent in the package instead of using the back of your hand.
However, a lot of people were unhappy with that. The pump takes too much effort to push down and tends to get stuck.
A quick visit to Sephora will reveal a new, squeezable tube that is easy to use.
Sephora Offers Samples
One of the things I love about this foundation is that you can pick up a sample at the Sephora website. They offer sample sizes for around $10, so you’re not stuck buying a product that you’re not in love with, or stuck with a product that you feel obligated to use because you bought the full-size version.
Natural Appearance
After applying Beauty Blender Bounce LIquid Whip Long Wear Foundation it tends to melt into your skin for a natural appearance that you’ll love! People won’t even be able to tell that you’re wearing foundation!
No Caking
As the foundation starts to wear off, it doesn’t cake as other makeup products do. Throughout the day, it didn’t settle around my nose or in the fine lines on my forehead. Instead, it simply lost a little bit of its full coverage effect.
Lightweight
After applying Beauty Blender Bounce foundation, you won’t be able to tell that you’re wearing it! It feels so lightweight that it’s like having a thin, second skin!
Non-Drying
Liquid products that dry with a matte finish are known for being drying. It was a huge relief to use this product and discover that it didn’t dry out my skin!
It Doesn’t Smell Weird
When it comes to foundation, some of it has an odd smell, like paint. If you’ve ever used a foundation that has a chemical smell, etc. you know what I’m talking about. Beauty Blender Bounce Foundation doesn’t smell delicious, but it doesn’t smell bad, either.
Flawless Blending
This liquid foundation won’t cake up on your beauty blender or slide off of your skin during the blending process. Instead, it blends perfectly into the skin for a smooth, matte finish that looks so natural my daughter thought I wasn’t wearing makeup!
Buildable
This foundation offers full coverage, but sometimes you need a little something more or will find yourself reapplying your makeup mid-day. That’s not a problem. Beauty Blender’s foundation is buildable, so you can apply one or two layers without worrying about having a cake face.
Other makeup products, like blush, highlighter, bronzer, contour, etc., will be fine on top of this foundation.
Gluten Free
Finding gluten free foundation can be a serious pain, especially if you’re searching for one that blends into your skin. Beauty Blender Bounce foundation is gluten free! The company also states that it is vegan and a cruelty free foundation!
Cons
Full Coverage Doesn’t Last All Day
As the day continues, you’ll notice that your foundation isn’t as “full coverage” as it was at the beginning of the day. Mine lasted about ten hours. Then, you could start to see some of the imperfections underneath.
However, that problem can be solved using concealer, etc., to cover those spots.
Not Transfer Proof
The foundation itself will rub off on things like your phone. If you need a transfer-proof foundation, check out this setting spray to help your makeup stay on your face where it belongs.
It Was Not Discontinued
When Beauty Blender Bounce Foundation went on sale for weeks, everyone thought this miraculous foundation was going to be discontinued. Some blogs still say it was discontinued, as in it is no longer available. Yes, Beauty Blender did release a skin tint. You can also find the foundation in better packaging, plenty of shades, and at a more affordable price at Sephora.
