Tower 28 Lip Jelly Pros Vs. Cons

There are quite a few wonderful things about this lip gloss, from the great price to the benefits it offers. Make sure that you keep in mind both the good and bad when deciding if this lip gloss is going to be one of your must-haves during your next Sephora haul.

Pros

Wide Variety Of Colors

Tower 28 ShineOn Lip Jelly can be found in various colors, from reds and pinks to browns and orange. You can even get it in shimmer, which is a translucent color that has a touch of sparkle to it. Tower 28’s variety of colors is inclusive to guarantee that you can find a shade to suit both your personality and your skin tone.

Affordable

This lip jelly is surprisingly affordable, especially for a brand-name product that is sold at Sephora. You can pick up a tube for about $15.

Gluten-Free

The company advertises that this product is gluten-free, meaning that it should be safe for those that can’t have gluten.

Vegan

Not only is it devoid of toxic ingredients, but this jelly lip gloss is also safe for those that live a vegan lifestyle. It does not use any animal derivatives.

Apricot Kernal OIl

Apricot kernel oil is one of the star ingredients found in this lip gloss. It helps to nourish and soothe the lips, making it a great choice for those with sensitive skin.

Rosehip Oil

Rosehip oil is another one of the star ingredients found in this lip jelly. Lip products that feature this ingredient help provide protection against free radical damage.

It’s Not Sticky

I usually don’t care for a lot of lip glosses because they are so sticky. It seems like my lips stick together, and my hair sticks to the gloss every time I turn my head. That wasn’t the case with Tower 28’s lip jelly. It was a wonderful surprise!

Gracefully Fades Away

Another one of my biggest pet peeves with some lip glosses, and why I used to stick to sheer shades, is the way that they fade away. They come off in chunks, cake on your lips, or something appalling. That isn’t the case with this lip jelly. It slowly fades away over time, eliminating the need for constant touch-ups.

Flawless Application

This high-shine lip gloss adds a pop of color without the mess of lip gloss. The applicator seems to pick up the perfect amount of product. The formula of this moisturizing lip gloss isn’t goopy, making it easy to swipe it across your lips for a smooth application that you can’t help but fall in love with.

Slightly Pigmented

This milky lip jelly adds the perfect wash of color without being too pigmented. It doesn’t add a ton of color like lipstick or lip paints, but it’s pigmented enough to add a subtle touch of color to your lips.

Cons

It Smells Weird

This lip gloss is definitely not scented to smell like cupcakes. It has a sunscreen or plastic smell to it that might bother you if you’re sensitive to fragrances. Make sure that you apply it with a light hand, too.

Doesn’t Taste Good

If you have a habit of licking your lips, this is not the gloss for you. It tastes horrible. However, licking your lips while wearing makeup isn’t a good idea, and this is a great way to break that habit!

Who Is Tower 28 Beauty Lip Jelly For?

If you love all of the great things about lip gloss, need a nourishing balm, and don’t want to deal with the negative aspects that go hand in hand with most glosses, like it sliding onto your face, this is the product for you! It’s so affordable there aren’t a lot of reasons not to give it a shot.
