First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Oil Control Moisturizer Pros Vs Cons

First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Oil Control Moisturizer

Pros

First Aid Beauty Oil Control Moisturizer Provides A Matte Finish

The matte finish is the perfect way to fight shine later in the day. It works with primers to provide a smooth foundation for makeup on oily skin.

Hydration Without Clogging Pores

If you have oily skin or an oily T zone, you’ve noticed that your pores look larger or flatter. That also means that they can get clogged pretty easily. First Aid Beauty oil control moisturizer delivers the hydration that oily or dry skin needs.

Lightweight

First Aid Beauty Oil Control moisturizer isn’t thick. After applying it, you cannot help but notice the weightless hydration it provides! It feels like you’re not wearing anything on your skin.

Minimizes The Appearance Of Pores

Not only does this moisturizer help combat dry skin, but it also helps make your pores appear visibly smaller than they usually do.

Affordable

First Aid Beauty is a great brand. They are a bit more expensive than drugstore brands but cheaper than luxury brands. Once you try First Aid Beauty Oil Control Moisturizer, you’ll realize they are worth the affordable price.

No Scent

I love a good moisturizer, but I hate skincare products that smell horrible. I won’t wear skincare products that make my skin smell like medicine, so it was a huge relief that this one was fragrance-free.

A Little Goes A Long Way

I picked up a sample size of First Aid Beauty Oil Control Moisturizer from Ipsy, which lasted quite a while for such a tiny tube. A full-size jar could easily last more than six months!

Gentle

First Aid Beauty Oil Control Moisturizer doesn’t contain many irritating ingredients. I’ve tried it during the winter, and it didn’t dry out my skin. I’ve never had a problem with First Aid Beauty products, and this one lived up to my expectations.

Suitable For All Skin Types

This product is marketed for people with oily skin, but it works exceptionally well for dry and combination skin too! It will balance out your oily t-zone while hydrating the dry areas on your face.

Works Well Year Round

When I think of a moisturizer that controls oil, I always think it will work better for summer. This one does work well for summer, but it’s also effective against my dry winter skin. This is a great idea if you want an all-in-one moisturizer to use year-round.

It Helps Makeup Last Longer

First, let me say that this is not a primer. However, it still helps keep your makeup in place. First Aid Beauty Oil Control Moisturizer does this by helping correct your skin concerns. If you have oily skin, makeup can slide off your face. Those with dry skin know that foundation can look patchy by midday. However, this moisturizer helps correct those skincare concerns for a flawless look that lasts all day.

Gluten Free

If you are searching for gluten-free products, add this must-have to your shopping list. It’s formulated without gluten containing ingredients. (It’s vegan and cruelty free, too.)

Absorbs Quickly Into The Skin

You won’t have to wait minutes to apply the rest of your makeup when using this moisturizer. It absorbs so fast into the skin that it’s great for those busy, I’m already running late morning.

Available On Amazon

I live in a relatively small city, and we just got a Sephora in town a few weeks ago. That’s about it unless I want to drive 45 minutes to the nearest Ulta or go to  Walmart. While there’s nothing wrong with Walmart, they don’t carry FAB products. That’s why I was excited that I could find the entire line available on Amazon, complete with Prime shipping. You can check it out here!

Cons

Doesn’t Have An SPF

I love multi-tasking products that protect my skin from the sun during the day and do everything else they are supposed to. Unfortunately, this one doesn’t have any SPF included.

Not A Good Night Time Moisturizer

You can use this moisturizer at night, but I feel like it simply doesn’t provide the nourishment that my skin needs. Instead, I’ve been using the rest of my 111Skin Cryo Activating Moisturizer at night.

In Conclusion

This skincare product by First Aid Beauty is well worth the low price of about $30. It’s suitable for almost every skin type. However, other people that have dry skin have complained of irritation. If you can pick up a sample to test it, take that route if you have dry skin. You can check it out and read more reviews here!
