Pros

There are quite a few great things about this face primer that you’ll love. It’s one of the most versatile products on my vanity. I can use it year-round, even with my dry winter skin. It’s great for sensitive skin. More than anything, this primer can work as an illuminator all by itself.

It Works Well For All Skin Types

While I tend to be cautious regarding luminous primers or strobe creams in the summer due to sweat and occasionally oily skin, that isn’t a problem with Dr. Brandt’s primer. It adds a soft glow, so it’s not overkill if you have an oily spot.

This is a huge bonus in a primer. I don’t have much in my makeup bag to wear whenever I want. My skin gets dry in the winter. I sweat like every other human when it’s almost 100 degrees. Then, I have combination skin. Sometimes, I find myself with several different foundations to accommodate my skin needs for different seasons. I don’t have to do that with Pores No More Luminizing Primer.

The luminizing effect is so minimal that you can barely tell it’s there. If you have oily skin, it won’t leave your skin with a greasy shine. Instead, you’ll look radiant as though you get your eight hours of sleep every night.

The product is called Pores No More Luminizing Primer, but I had doubts. My pores are always there, and it’s one thing I’m insanely self-conscious about. However, this stuff instantly makes them vanish. I held a mirror as close to my face as possible, and you cannot see them.

Dr. Brandt Primer Isn’t Greasy

One of my concerns is that certain formulas as a bit greasy, but that is not the case with this product. It blends into your skin so well you cannot tell it’s there.

It Blends Well With Various Skin Tones

This will still blend nicely if you have fair, almost pale skin. The same applies to a medium skin tone. The formula is barely tinted, so you don’t have to worry about the appearance once it’s blended into your skin.

Dr. Brandt Luminizing Primer Is Lightweight

This is one of the more lightweight makeup products. When you wear it by itself, you can barely tell that you have it on!

Reduces Redness

When you wear this primer, you will be amazed at its ability to help correct uneven skin tone. Your pores will slowly shrink, and your red spots will appear even with the rest of your skin. You don’t need to wear foundation or concealer on top of it for this to happen.

Cons

As with every product, there are both good and bad things. Although I do love this primer, it’s important that you consider both the good and bad when you decide if it’s right for you.

Not The Most Effective Primer

Using this as a primer won’t help your makeup stay in place all day long as other primers might. While it won’t wear off in an hour, it won’t last a 16-hour workday. Because of that, you’ll need to make sure that you use a good setting spray to keep everything in place once you’re done.

Watch For Breakouts

If you have acne-prone skin, watch out for breakouts when using this product. You might have a breakout, but no one knows whether you will. If you already have one, avoid using it in the area of the breakout.

How To Use Pores No More Primer

First, follow your regular skincare routine. This includes appropriately cleansing and moisturizing your skin. Allow the moisturizer you used to dry completely before applying the following product.
